Join me Sunday, January 28th from 4-6 pm for an evening dedicated to resting and digesting.  Restorative yoga combined with Yoga Nidra will assist in balancing our mind, body and emotions.  In a world and environment so focused on ‘doing’ AND as organisms so often fighting or fleeing, learn ways to soften and still.  Allow ‘being’ to arise.

Date: Sunday; January 28th, 2018
Time: 4:00pm - 6:00pm
Cost: $20.00     Register here now!

Restorative postures will be held in a supported way (with blankets, bolsters and blocks) for a period of time to allow concentration on breath and surfacing thoughts.  Observe the monkey mind and monitor the breath as you allow the body to soften and the mind to gradually become more still.  Witness what arises as you are led from posture to posture and finally into savasana (corpse pose).  Lying still and completely comfortable, open your ears and heart to the ancient practice of Yoga Nidra.

Nidra (literally translated as ‘sleep’) is based upon ‘sankulpa’, a ‘resolve’ or deeply help intention.  Lying and listening, you will be led from the more gross, conscious spaces of your mind and body into more subtle sub and unconscious spaces.  All you have to do is listen.  Many whom have experienced this practice have noticed increased concentration and vitality in the day/days following.  With steady, consistent practice, the seed of sankulpa can sprout – a perfect way to usher in a New Year.  I hour of Nidra equates to 4 hours of deep sleep.

This practice is open and accessible to all.  Its effects are especially positive for those with chronic pain, stress or insomnia.
